Hand-built Adobe Masonry Heater, Mar del Plata, Argentina

This single-skin bell heater was built in a workshop in Mar del Plata, Argentina.  The site is an “eco” hostel run by a group of permaculturists striving to reduce their impact in an urban environment.  The heater was built using a maximum of recycled or natural materials, including unfired adobe bricks and cast iron doors taken from an old woodstove.  Process photos, taken by Santiago Jose Lopez Luro, can be found at this public link.
